Duality of Human Plight

This investment painting can only be created using advanced oil painting techniques.  It is incomparable.

The image depicts the plight of the human being, a plight that can extend into many areas of our existence. Specifically here it shows a woman under threat of capture by a malevolent spirit beast, while a benevolent spirit reaches to her to pull her from peril.  The woman is aware of the threat and reaches for assistance.

This duality can also serve as a metaphor, from the personal individual peril of addiction to the wider human race acting against its best interests in matters such as, for example, climate change, while aware it is doing so, and seeking help.

Mostly though it is a deeply spiritual painting not only of story and metaphor but of striking color and subtle yet undeniable power.
